Kelsey Crawford Ransom of Mesquite was born on 10-02-89 and died on 8-12-12 in College Station.

Kelsey was a 2008 graduate of John Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas. He was an active member in the youth group at Mimosa Lane Baptist Church.

Kelsey was a people person who knew how to brighten up the room. His smile was contagious and he left an impression on everyone he met. Kelsey was a friend who will never be forgotten.

Kelsey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel, ride his bike, and hang out with his buddies from home as well as his military brothers.

Kelsey served two successful tours in Afghanistan as a Navy corpsman in his four years of service. He had a powerful impact on those he served with, and likewise they did on him. He considered them to be his brothers.

Kelsey will forever live in the heart of those who knew him.

Kelsey was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Sandra Ransom and maternal grandfathers, J.Dewitt Crawford and Lloyd K. Smith. Surviving family includes parents Brian and Lisa Ransom, brother Caleb, grandfather Freddie Ransom, grandmother Margarett Smith, aunts and uncles, Charlotte and Dave Ramsey, Keith and Breea Smith, and Megan Galyean, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

The Ransoms will receive family and friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, August 17th at New Hope.

Service will be held Saturday, August 18th, at Mimosa Lane Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. followed by a graveside service at New Hope.
