AUSTIN - Patricia Pinson Wilson, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in New Hope Memorial Gardens in Sunnyvale. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney by New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale.
Patricia was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Forney, the oldest daughter to the late Clem and Mary Alice Pinson. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Forney and graduated from Forney High School as valedictorian of the Class of 1952. She attended Texas Tech University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Alpha Lambda Delta. She graduated in 1955 with a degree in elementary education.
While at Tech, she met and married Elmer D. Wilson. They moved to Pampa in 1955. She was the devoted mother of two daughters, the late Patricia Kimberlyn Schulz and Pamela Kay Russell of Austin.
In 1995, she remarried and moved to Amarillo, where she lived for several years before moving to Austin to be close to her daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Russell; three grandsons, Heath Parker, Noel Schulz and Eric Russell; a granddaughter, Katy Russell; two great-grandsons, Bryce and Kade Parker; three great-granddaughters, Haley and Allyssa Schulz and Jancey Parker; and a sister, Sarah Harp of Forney.
The family suggests memorials be to Forney Historic Preservation League, P.O. Box 317, Forney TX 75126; or Forney Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1033, Forney, TX 75126.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
