Mr Dailey was formerly employed by Prior Oil Co of Portersville for 33 years, and had been a mechanic at Plunkett Motor Freight, Perry Highway, near Zelienople.
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Portersville, and was an honorary lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Amateur Horsemen's Association.
Born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, May 28, 1916, he was the son of Chester Hey and Edna Harley Dailey.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, a daughter, a grandson.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
DAILEY- Friends of William D Dailey of Portersville RD 1, Muddy Creek Twp, who died Sunday, June 17, 1984, will be received at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 201 E Cunningham St, from 7-9 pm Monday and from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday from the funeral home, with the Rev Richard Barany, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, Portersville, officiating. Burial will be in the First United Presbyterian Church of Portersville Cemetery. Arrangements by Glenn-Kildoo.
