November 13, 1931 February 4, 2009 Rose M. Kudla, 77, of Brownington beloved wife of Richard Kudla died suddenly on Wednesday February 4, 2009 at her home. Rose was born on November 13, 1931 in Springfield, MA; a daughter of Leo and Adeline (Hilse) Dubois. On August 26, 1951, Rose married Richard Kudla who survives her. Rose was employed at the Northeast Technicial Company in Springfield, MA; where she assembled circut board for over 30 years.
Rose graduated from Commerce High School in 1949 in Springfield, MA. While in Massachuchetts, she sang in the St. Patrick's Choir. She and her husband spent several years in Chicopee, Massachusetts area after they were married and moved to Vermont over 15 years ago after retirement. She enjoyed gardening, reading, going with her husband,while he fished, and watching the hummingbirds feed from their feeders. Rose was an excellent cook, who enjoyed cooking much to the delight of family and friends.
Rose is survived by her children, Richard Kudla and his wife Donna of Tennesse, John Kudla and his wife Linda of Brownington, and Kathleen Rybak and her husband David of New Jersey, several grand and great grandchildren, and by a sister Adeline Radford and her husband Dennis of Florida.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Orleans with the Rev. Sixmund Nyabenda celebrating a mass of Christian burial. Spring interment will be held at the Brownington Center Cemetery. Should friends desire contributions in Rose's memory may be made to the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, c/o Maintenance Fund, 85 St. Paul's Lane, Barton, Vt. 05822.
