Howard O. "Joe" Barrick Jr., 75, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Versailles, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004.
Born in Pennsylvania, he was the husband of Ramona Horner Barrick, and the son of the late Howard O. Sr. and Rhae Ida Barrick. He was a self-employed plumber and electrician.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Betty Curry of Versailles; six sisters, Barbara Jean Mathis, Martha Soard, Dorothy Carter and Ethel Lancaster, all of Versailles, and Helen Stewart and Grace Lamb, both of Indiana; three grandchildren, Randal Holman, Keith L. Curry and Rachel Curry Lay; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 22 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles with the Revs. Charles McKinley and Darryl Young officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tim Soard, Mark Lancaster, Terry Cosby, John Harrod, Jimmy Hall, Tony Reynolds and Jeffery Barrick. Honorary pallbearers were Jake Lippert, Bobby Weir, Ann Kincaid, Connie Thompson and Mary Cosby.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
