Dead of Injuries, Meridian Resident's Automobile Strikes Bridge Near Park. William Eades Jolly, 29, local resident of near Fifth street and 52nd avenue, died in Anderson's Infirmary Tuesday at 3 p.m. as the result of injuries sustained Sunday on State Boulevard near Highland park when his automobile crashed into a bridge in that area. It was not first believed that Mr. Jolly was seriously hurt but his condition worsened and he was removed to a hopital. Disclosures Wednesday said he suffered internal injuries. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Margie Jolly, city; two sons, Bobby and Roy Jolly of Texas; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Jolly; two sisters, Mrs. Malcomb Moore, Mrs. Cameron Gibson; one brother Edward Jolly, all of Collinsville. Mr. Jolly was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from Webb Funeral Home. Rev. Mr. Higginbotham will officiate. Interment will follow in the Collinsville Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Percy Scarbrough, Dick Clark, Truman Smith, Charlie Brasher, Paul Sharpe, W.L. Walker and Excel Talbert.
