Alfred J. Baldwin, 81, 3202 Waterloo Road, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born June 24, 1915, in McKee, Ky., the son of Arch and Martha Davis Baldwin, both of whom preceded him in death. He had resided in Connersville since 1950, coming here from Kentucky.He was a longtime member of Full Gospel Holiness Church on West 10th Street. He was employed for 41 years at the Connersville Gravel Company and IMI as a crane operator. Prior to that he was a truck driver and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Flodie M. Houston Baldwin, to whom he was married March 11, 1972, in Jellico, Tenn.; four daughters, Mrs. Freda Bodiker of LaBelle, Fla., Mrs. Ronnie (Beulah) Fair of Cleveland, Ga., Mrs. Dennis (Jean) Weaver of Balsam, N. C., and Mr. Larry (Shirley) Smith of Connersville; two sons and daughters-in-law, A. F. and Unaiv Baldwin of Tipp City, Ohio, and Homer and Sheila Baldwin of New Carlisle, Ohio; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Bill (Geraldine) Scudder of Centerville, Ohio, Mrs. Bill (Priscilla) Kennedy of Franklin, Ohio, Mrs. Vernon (Pauline) Gabbard of Albuquerque, N. M., and Mrs. James (Zola) Bunzendahl of Connersville; four stepsons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Lucille Minton of Miamisburg, Ohio, Bennie and Barbara Minton of Franklin, Ohio, Bobby Cavins and Boy Cavins, both of Connersville; a brother, Willie Baldwin of Everton; a sister, Mrs. Life (Datha) King of McKee, Ky.; 37 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Baldwin and an infant son, Johnnie Baldwin; three sisters, Litha King, Bertha Vaughn and an infant sister, Louellen; a brother, Albert Baldwin; and a grandson, Shawn Kennedy. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Full Gospel Holiness Church with the Rev. James C. Parrett, pastor of the church, Bennie Sutherland of the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church, Dayton, and Charlie Pennington of the Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church, Farmersville, Ohio, officiating. Burial followed in the Everton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home.
