He is also listed "In Memoriam" (Stanford University's Quad Yearbook of 1945) for Californians lost during World War II.
First Lieutenant Gordon L. Onstott, service number 1583462 is listed as killed in action on June 16, 1944, on the beaches of Normandy. He was interred, per US Army registry sources "in California."
