Cheryl Ann Schipske Higley passed away on January 8, 2008 after a short, but valiant battle with acute myelogenous leukemia. Born on March 11, 1955 in Artesia, California, Cheryl Ann was raised in Buena Park, where she played on the Buena Park Bobby Soxs and graduated from St. Pius V Elementary. Cheryl Ann graduated from Marywood High School in 1973 and attended college in California and Nevada.
In March 1981, she married Marine Sgt. Tom Higley, who gave more than 30 years of decorated service to his country. She and Tom were the proud parents of Tom, Tim, Erin and Megan. In 2004, Tom died from complications of surgery. Cheryl Ann became a grandmother in 2006 and 2007 with the birth of Ryan and Hunter.
She is also survived by her sister, Gerrie Schipske and her brother, Norman Schipske. Funeral services are being held Monday, January 14, 2008 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones, Las Vegas, Nevada.
