John Woodrow Uptagraft was born in Mobile, AL, October 10, 1965, and left this world March 23, 2011. He was a native Mobile and resident of Eight Mile. Graduate of John S. Shaw High School and owner of John's Transmissions. John was a very dedicated, loving, caring, and a hard working young man. He is survived by his daughter, Vanna Uptagraft and grandson Talon, who is two. He is also survived by his loving and devoted parents, Cecil and Carolyn Uptagraft; sister, Cindy (Joey) Arendall; brother, Mitch Uptagraft; niece, Katie Arendall and nephew, Justin Uptagraft. Special friend, Ricky Persons and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and so may dear friends and buddies. Pallbearers will be Bobby Howton, Tra Adams, Shawn Lisenby, Sandy Waters, Keith Nichols, Rodney Hill, Richard Foster, and Wayne Knight. Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Persons, Sulu Duong, John Jones, Scott Calvert, Rob James, Glen Hilton, Mark Cardinal, Maurice Fairley, and Jimmy Hart. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 12:00 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with a visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 until service time. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens .Arrangement by: Forest Lawn Funeral Home 9700 Celeste Road, Saraland AL.
