Marshall Adams, aged 77 years, died at 6 o'clock Friday afternoon at his home, one mile west of Polk, following an extended illness. He was the son of Jonathan and Jane Adams and was born April 14, 1862.
He spent his entire life in Polk and vicinity and was member of the Polk Methodist church.
On December 21, 1882 he married Ida M. Williams who preceded him in death seven years ago.
He is survived by the following children: Miss Oliver Adams at home, Clarence, Arthur, and Lester Adas, Mrs. Leroy Smith, and Mrs. Herman Barnes of Polk, and Mrs. Dalton White of Franklin; a brother, Dickson Adams of Florida; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
