Loy M. Ivie, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
Funeral: was Thursday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Box 15186, Austin, Texas, or Alzheimer's Association, Box 9709, Fort Worth Texas 76147.
Loy served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the Diamond Jubileers, a member of the Levis and Lace, Grand Squares of Granbury Square Dance Clubs. He was a master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas Arlington, No. 438. He retired in 1988 after working 29 years for Bell Helicopter.
Loy was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Velma Neece Ivie.
Survivors: Son, Wayne Ivie and wife, Holly; daughters, Becky Dybvig and husband, Kenny, and Dianna Richey; grandchildren, Sarita Brown, Raymond Ivie, Brandon Ivie, Jeremy Ivie, Jessica White, Heather Farrah, Nicholas Dybvig, Christopher Dybvig, Kari Dybvig, Alicia Richey and Samantha Richey; and 13 great-grandchildren.
