Mrs. W. H. Cahoon Jr. Found Dead Ih Auto
The body of Mrs. Wallace H. Cahoon Jr. of Russell road was discovered this morning in an automobile at the end of Alma road, which adjoins Russell road in Jericho. Mr. Cahoon, who woke to find his wife had left the house, started to search and found the car.
The town ambulance with emergency oxygen equipment and Dr. E. P. Tripp Jr. were called by her mother. Mrs. A. Gordon Smith of North Falmouth, who arrived at the Russell road house as Mr. Cahoon returned there with the car.
Dr. E. P. Tripp Sr.. associate medical examiner, said death was suicide by carbon monoxide gas.
Mrs. Cahoon, who was 29, was Caroline G. Smith before her wedding to Mr. Cahoon at Brockton in 1942. They had made their home in North Falmouth before moving to Russell road about four months ago. She leaves four children, the youngest three months old.
