Mary-Lue Carlsen of San Jose, California died at home surrounded by her family, friends and caregivers on August 27th 2012.
Born in Provo, Utah on January 21st 1925, Mary-Lue was the third daughter born to Moroni Lee and Marie Miner. When Mary-Lue was 12 her family moved to Reno, Nevada where she spent her teen years. In 1947 she met and married Raymond Carlsen with whom she had two children, Charlotte and Kristian, who were raised in Corte Madera and San Jose, California. Both were by her side when she passed away.
Mary-Lue had a fabulous sense of humor, and if you were her friend, a practical joke was sure to come your way. Plainspoken and straightforward, Mary-Lue was also a painter, gardener, writer, singer, lover of fine pastries, carousels, and any and all things French.
Ray already dearly misses his sweet wife; September 8th 2012 was their 65th wedding anniversary. In addition to her husband and children, Mary-Lue leaves behind her granddaughter Amanda Marie, son-in-law Patrick Moore, older sister Ann Miner, brother Carter Miner, many nieces and nephews and her long time care provider Stefana Craciunescu. Her sister Phyllis Johnson passed away in 2007.
