James A. Boudreau, Jr., 61, of Fairview Street, Lee, died Wednesday evening at his home.

Born in Newton on November 1, 1949, the son of Muriel Page Boudreau and the late James A. Boudreau, he was a 1967 graduate of Newton North High School and following military service earned his Bachelors degree from Boston College in 1978.

Mr. Boudreau served in the US Army Signal Corps during the Vietnam War from March 18, 1970 to the time of his honorable discharge on September 24, 1971.

He was employed for many years as a sales representative for Cincinnati Milacron Co., a manufacturer of grinding wheels for machine tools, retiring in 1997.

Mr. Boudreau was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Lee
and was a volunteer at St. Mary's School. He enjoyed playing hockey during his school years, ran various marathon races through the years, and was proud that he had completed the Boston Marathon.

He was an avid golfer and skier, enjoyed coaching his children's youth soccer teams and attending all their sporting events, and also enjoyed cooking and reading. He and his wife, the former Leslie Bacha, were married on November 22, 1980.

Besides his wife of Lee and his mother of Wellesley, he is survived by two daughters, Emily D. Burniske and her husband Darin of Westfield, and Kathryn A. Boudreau of Lee; one son Samuel J. Boudreau of Lee; four sisters Charline Sullivan of Natick, Jeanne D. Boudreau of Wellesley, Michele B. Travers of North Falmouth, Carol Boudreau Seibel of Wellsley; grandson James E. Burniske; and twelve nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. from the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Lee celebrated by the Rev. Brian McGrath, Pastor of St. Mary's Church in Westfield.
Burial with full military honors accorded will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee.
Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be held today from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
