Resident of Jackson County All of Life Victim of Typhoid Fever


Walter Perry, age 42, life long resident of Jackson County, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Perry, in Brownstown at 8 o'clock Thursday night after a critical illness of several weeks from what was said to be typhoid fever.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later. It was thought the services probably would be held sometime Sunday at Brownstown.

Born at Brownstown Mr. Perry lived his entire life there. He was a mail carrier and known to everyone on his route as a man of courtesy and sterling characteristics. He was a member of the Baptist church at Brownstown and the Red Men's lodge.

Besides his parents Mr. Perry is survived by five children, all at home, Elnora, Walter, Jr., Frederick, Thomas and Margaret; three brothers, Charles, of Indianapolis; Frederick of Brownstown and Joseph, of Cincinnati; two sisters, Mrs. Thornton Heller, and Miss Ida Perry, at Brownstown; two aunts, Mrs. D. W. Keller, this city, and Mrs. Ella Johnson, also of Seymour.

Perry Funeral At Brownstown Sunday

Funeral services for Walter Perry, age 42, of Brownstown, will be held at the Brownstown Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Petticord with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Perry, who was a rural mail carrier, died at his home in Brownstown Thursday night following several week's illness. Typhoid fever is said to have caused his death.
