Charles Pierce Wagner, Jr., 96, of Marysville, formerly of Arlington, VA passed away Friday, April 1st, 2011 at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp., PA
Mr. Wagner was born in Luzerne, Iowa on January 9, 1915, the son of the late Charles Pierce Wagner, Sr. and Anna (Backes) Wagner.
He was a retired Rate and Tariff Analyst for the Interstate Commerce Commission, Washington, DC. A U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.
Pierce was a graduate of Marysville High School, Class of 1934. A Member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Elks Lodge, American Legion,VFW, Moose Lodge and a charter member of the River Bend Golf Club, all of Arlington, VA.
He was the widower of Ethel Wagner and Marcella Wagner.
Surviving are a sister, Audrey Hite of Marysville; six step-children of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wagner and three sisters, Anna Mae Gottschall, Mildred Farrell and Maxine Cartright.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville, with Rev. David J. Schreffler officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Shalonis - Marysville
