ALGER - Asa F. Johnson, 76, Route 1, Alger, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Lima St. Rita's Hospital after an illness of three weeks.
Born March 5, 1886, in Hardin County, he lived in Alger for 44 years. He was married to Elva M. Goslee Sept. 2, 1908, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Clementz, Constantine, Mich., and Mrs. Pauline Taylor, 822 Rice, Lima; a sister, Miss Rose Johnson of Belle Center; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the West Newton Grange and the First Methodist Church of Alger.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the church, Rev. Don Catrone officiating. Friends may call at Hanson Funeral Home in Alger after 7 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the services.
