He had been employed at the Crown-Willamette paper mill in West Linn for the last 18 years as an engineer. He lived in Oregon City for 11 years and the last seven years had resided on a farm near Aurora. He was a member of the Pulp and Sulphite Workers union, the Canby Methodist Church and the Butteville grange.
Surviving are the widow, Alice; son, William Harold Jackson, Aurora; daughters, Mrs. Richard Cranor, Portland , and Mrs. Harry L. West, Santa Barbara, Cal., and two brothers and two sisters in Texas.
