Howard J. Boiteau, age 53, of Bloomer passed away suddenly Friday, March 3, 2006, in the township of Wascott, Douglas County.

He was born on July 24, 1952, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., to Howard Sr. and Bernadine (Kelm) Boiteau. Howard served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1977. He married Betty Kummer on April 22, 1977, in Chippewa Falls, Wis.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty; four sons, Cletus "Bud" (Angie) of New Auburn, Scott (Jamie) of Eau Claire, Cory of Eau Claire and Brandon in the U.S. Army serving in Iraq; grandchildren, Shannah, Autumn, Dakota, Tessa, Skylar, Gage and Gavin Boiteau; mother, Bernadine "Dolly" Boiteau; four brothers, David "Butch" (Kathy), Stephen (Jane), Lee (Bea) and John "Gary" (friend Sue Jacobson) Boiteau; three sisters, Bonnie (Pete) Emerson, Joanne (Bob) Travaglio and Roxie (Steve) Goettl; mother-in-law, Helen Kummer; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Crandall, Bev (Dave) Goettl, Pat (Garnet) Mathwig, Shirley (Tom) Tibbitts, Peggy (Tom) Schmidt and Rod (Chris) Kummer; several nieces and nephews.
