She was born April 14, 1939, at Brooten, Minn., to Carl and Alvina (Westrude) Bjorge. Clarice graduated from the Brooten High School in 1957.
She lived in the Minneapolis, Minn., area for many years and worked at National School Studios and the Orion Company.
She married Theo Bensend on Sept. 12, 1982, at Crystal, Minn. They moved to Barron in 1994.
She was the State Music Director of the 'Good Sam Club' for two years. Clarice was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Rice Lake, and Home Community Education.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Cathy Dill of Dickenson, N.D., and Joy Scheele of Tomahawk; sons, Scott Wild of Windom, Texas, Craig Wild of Dodd City, Texas, Theo Bensend Jr. of Macomb, Mich., and Robert Bensend of Roseville, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Ardel Bjorge of Minneapolis and Kermit Bjorge of Brooten; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, from Bethany Lutheran Church, Rev. Gary Andersen officiating, with interment at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, near Spooner.
Visitation held 4-7 p.m. Thursday from Appleyard's Home for Funerals, Rice Lake, and an hour prior to services at the church Friday.
