Colonel (Ret.) Willard Horton Augspurger, 83, of Orlando, FL passed away Thursday January 11, 2007 at the Orlando Regional Lucerne Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Colonel Augspurger was a native of Saybrook, Illinois, and spent his childhood and early adult years a resident of Montrose, Arkansas before moving to Monroe, Louisiana. He was inducted into the US Army on his 20th birthday, and accumulated nearly forty years service including wartime duty in four primary campaigns. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a graduate of the Command and Staff College, and retired as Commander of the 4th Brigade, 95th Division. He taught Advanced Electronics for 20 years at Delta Ouachita Technical Institute in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana for many years. After his retirement he moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Stuckey and Alma Horton Augspurger. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Cloteene Douglas Augspurger; son Willard Douglas Augspurger and wife Lou Anne Causey Augspurger all of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren: Erin Ashley Augspurger, Justin Alden Augspurger and Benjamin Aaron Augspurger. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Hamburg with Dr. Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Justin Augspurger, Benjamin Augspurger, Charlie Hopper, Joseph Lee, Dr. James Lawrence Lee, Jr., James Lawrence Lee, III, Christopher V. Teague and Barry Douglas Teague. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 352, Hamburg, Arkansas 71646
