Funeral services for John Earl Boley, 97, of Tyler were held with Richard Lunsford, Church of Christ minister, officiating.
Boley was a retired farmer and meat packer. A resident of Olney since 1910, he had lived in Tyler for since 1980. He was a member of First Christian Church, the Downtown Men's Bible Class and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors: two sons: Allison Boley of Hurst and Wayland Boley of Fort Worth; three daughters, Frances Barry of Tyler, Laura Mae Haley of Texas City and Margaret Newton of Fort Worth; two sisters, May Boley and Talma Boley, both of Abilene; two brothers, Reg Boley of Fort Worth and Larry Boley of Abilene; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
