Julian Lloyd Center, age 86 of Lexington, passed away Thursday April 15, 2010 at the Norman Regional Hospital. He was born December 12, 1923 in Lexington, the only child born to Lorin Lloyd "Tobe" Center and Elizabeth Jane (Wilhite) Center. He married his true love, Edna Faye Bland, on January 5th, 1943 in Shawnee, OK. They made their home in Lexington where they raised their two children, Julian and Julie. Julian served his country honorably during WWII in the European Theater of Operations. For more than 30 years, they owned and operated the First State Bank of Lexington. Upon retirement, Julian enjoyed flying model airplanes, traveling with Edna, and working together raising cattle on their farm. Julian was a wonderful and caring husband and father, grandfather, and friend. He was much loved by his family and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: His wife, Edna Faye Center in July of 2008; His parents, Tobe and Elizabeth Center; And infant son, Lynn Franklin Center and Son-in-law, Bob Deskin. He is survived by: His daughter, Julie Deskin of Moore; Son, Julian L. Center Jr. and wife Lee Anne of Andover, MA; three grandchildren, Kimberlee Anne Watts of MA, Brice Linden Center and wife Wendy Joy of MA and Brandie Kristin Morris and husband Nick of Moore; four great grandchildren, Caitlin Brianna Watts, Shannon Jinnene Watts, Quinton Philip Center and Lenox Julian Center and Many other family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Bland officiating. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little, Purcell.
