"Sandy" Sandra Jo Ibarra Gomez, age 49, of Castroville, TX, passed away with her loving family at her bedside on Apr. 6, 2011 at her home. Sandra was born on Apr. 1, 1962 in San Antonio.
She married her loving husband on Dec. 19, 1981. She was a 1979 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, but attended Southwest high School for 3 years. She attended 3 years of college at UTSA. Sandra worked as a secretary for the principal at Stevens High School for 6 years.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Ibarra; and on Jan. 24th of this year by her mother-in-law, Celerina Gutierrez Gomez.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters and son-in-law; two grandchildren; mother and step-father; brother and sister-in-law of San Antonio; and her father-in-law of Atascosa.
The family suggests memorials be given in Sandra's memory to The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
