She was born Aug. 2, 1920 in Detroit to the late Andrew and Veronica (Czech) Kukulski. Her husband, Peter F. Magyar, preceded her in death on June 18, 2003.
Survivors include her children, Valerie Magyar, Rodney (Patricia) Magyar and Marlene (Roger Nielsen) Magyar; a granddaughter, Mary (Jung) Jang; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She had five brothers and two sisters who also predeceased her.
Special thank you to her true friends, Janet Force and Dan (Peg) Farlin who were always there for her. Additionally, a heartfelt thanks to all of the caregivers at Home Sweet Home who made her last years special.
Funeral service was held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home 149 N. Main St., in Vassar. The Rev. Stephen Ezop officiated with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Capital Area Humane Society or the Humane Society of Tuscola County.
