Deputy Coroner Ernest Ferchland said Mrs. Bontly died of natural causes while sleeping. She was found by her sister-in-law, Mrs. F. D. Mackie, 37 S. Eau Claire Ave., when Mrs. Mackie arrived about 10 a.m. to take Mrs. Bontly to a doctor's appointment, Ferchland said.
Born in Madison, Mrs. Bontly was a typist for the State in Traveling Library. Her husband, Thomas L, died in 1968.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, Thomas J., Whitefish Bay; three sisters, Mrs.,Alice Culp, 2918 Oakridge Ave.; Mrs. Ralph Severson, 157 Dunning St.; and Mrs. Darol Dixon,.4795 Spaanem Ave.; and a grandson.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at the Schroeder Funeral
Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., where the rosary will be said at 8 tonight. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens
