John "Johnny" Johnson...very kind, soft spoken, and gentle. He was in the US Navy during WW II. His ship was torpedoed during the war, Johnny floated around in the ocean for days before he and his fellow shipmates were rescued. He never told of his time in the military, probably too painful to speak of.
John was a father of three, one girl and two boys. His grandfather, Peter, came here to America as a young boy from Denmark, he became a success in the community of South River, NJ. John's father, also a Peter, was also a successful business man who owned an embroidery factory in West New York, NJ.
