Ray Pribble, 85, of St. Joseph passed away at 7:15 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 7, 2012) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
He was born on July 3, 1926 in Sidell Township to Roscoe and Ruth Porter Pribble. He married Margaret Denny on Nov. 13, 1950. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brad Pribble and a sister, Norma (Bill) Reitmeier.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific area. He served as a deputy sheriff under Sheriff Everett Hedrick.
He also worked at the University of Illinois Small Animal Clinic until retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting and was a member of the St. Joseph Sportsman Club.
