OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)
Paul Wilbur Grandstaff, 65, of rural Peru, Indiana, died at 4:30pm, Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at his residence. He was born January 25, 1943 in Peru to Ralph Wilbur and Ethel Mae (Perry) Grandstaff.
He married Connie Jean Strong on July 19, 1964 in Denver, Indiana; she died May 12, 2004.
He was a member of Chili United Methodist Church but attended Olive Branch Church of God. He retired in 2007 from Chrysler transmission plant in Kokomo, after 41 years. Paul enjoyed glass etching, fishing, and reading.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel Mae Grandstaff of Denver; four daughters, Debbie Grandstaff of Bloomington, Tina (Stephen) Hopkins of Waldorf, Maryland, Angela Grandstaff of Peru, and Robin Grandstaff of Spencer; his son, Scott (Crystal) Grandstaff of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Benjamin and Emma Hopkins, both of Waldorf, Ashley, Joshua, and Rachael Grandstaff, all of Des Moines, Iowa; and Haleigh, Breanna, and Robert Paul Grandstaff, all of Omaha.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 Chippewa Road, Roann, on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:30AM with Rev. Lowell Burrus officiating. Burial will be in Chili Cemetery, Chili. Friends may call 4-8PM, Friday, May 9 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
