Forrest Campbell, 38, of 1806 Eleventh Street, died in his home Tuesday about 1:00 a.m. following an illness of seven years.

He was an employee of the Illinois Gas Company until illness forced his retirement.

Born May 24, 1929 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Noah T. and Romance (Lynch) Campbell. He was married to Raydell Schroyer, December 23, 1950.

Surviving are his wife; six children: Dixie, Gala, Nola, James, Jack and John; his mother; four sisters: Mrs. James Blevins, Mrs. Irvin Hosler, both of Lawrenceville, Mrs. Louise Lisson of Mt. Carmel, and Mrs. Jack Smith of Vincennes; two brothers; Sheila Campbell of Lawrenceville Route 1, and Lyman Campbell with the Marines stationed in Ocean Side, Calif.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Mahin officiating.
