71, Greenwood, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Community Hospital South. He was born on November 30, 1931 in Bedford, IN to Ralph M. and Anna (Gee) Mitchell. He married Jean Alderson Mitchell on June 17, 1951 in Indianapolis. He was employed for 30 years by RCA (Thomson) in Indianapolis as a Millwright, having retired in 1994. He had previously worked for the Hygrade Meat Co. for 18 years. He was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Pioneers of America and I.B.E.W. Union. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21 at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel in White River Township with Dr. Joe Bottorff officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 20 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Survivors: wife, Jean (Alderson) Mitchell; 3 sons, Bruce and Alan Mitchell both of Greenwood and Eric Mitchell, Ft. Meyers, FL; 2 sisters, Lemern Coyle and Jean Scott both of Greenwood; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother; and 3 sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Shrine Hospital for Children.
