Miriam Barnette Plyler, of Matthews, NC, departed her earthly home January 8, en route to God's eternal kingdom.

Miriam was educated in the Charleston public school system and was graduated from St. Andrews high school in 1953.

She began her working career in the late 1940's and early 1950's in retail commerce and customer relations. Miriam was taught under the direction of three successful local entrepreneurs; Mr. Clarence Shahid, Mr. Adolph Rodenberg, and Mr. Stanley Laird. She continued to work in various retail business support capacities and ended her career as the Southeastern Regional Executive Secretary of Apple Computer in Charlotte.

She married George F. Crabb in 1956 and reared two outstanding sons; Douglas E. Crabb (Cindy) of Raleigh, NC and David E. Crabb of Charlotte, N.C. She has one granddaughter, Brittany (Bryan) Ledford of Raleigh, N.C. Subsequently in the 1970's she married again to Oscar Plyler and assisted in rearing two step-sons; Michael and Kenneth (Michelle) Plyler, both formerly of Pineville, NC, and currently of Fort Mill, SC. In addition she is survived by three proud brothers, George W. Barnette (Scooter) of Charleston, Richard T. Barnette, (Jane) of Beaverton, OR, David R. Barnette (Lucy) of Goose Creek, SC.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. We are all born a physical body which is destroyed at death, yet we are raised a spiritual body given by God to those who know and love him. This body is to dwell with our Lord and Savior in his heavenly kingdom forever. Miriam B. Plyler's spiritual body belongs to God. Thanks be to God!
