Death of Mrs. Penina Lierle.

Mrs. Penina Lierle died at Clayton on the 20th inst. Deceased was the wife of Rev. Wm. Lierle. She was born in Jefferson county, June 11th, 1825, was married to Rev. Wm. Lierle, October 12, 1843. They were blessed with eleven children, seven of whom are still living.

Fifty years ago she united with the Dunkard church.

The funeral took place last Friday. Mr. Albert Lierle and wife, of Des Moines, and Mr. Wm. Lierle, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed through the city yesterday en route home from Clayton, where they attended the burial. The deceased was widely known and highly respected.

Mrs. Riley Lierle died at 10 o'clock Wednesday evening after a short illness. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon from the Christian Church, Rev. Cripe officiating. The interment was in the South Side cemetery.
