Chief of Colton Volunteer Fire Dept shortly after 1900
1910 - 1912 patrolman for the Colton Police
and then for a short time again in 1917.
He became Police Chief after the resignation of George Maple and during that period was also Constable of the Colton Township.
Elected Justice of the Peace in 1923. Was serving in that capacity until elected Coroner 1930.
Mr. U'Ren was Colton's only official elected from the county at large and was the city's sole representative at the courthouse.
Parents were Constantine T.W. U'Ren and Mary F. U'Ren both of England. He and his father operated a marble works in Colton when they moved here from Buffalo, NY in the spring of 1887.
Also operated a livery stable.
He was active in the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Pythias.
