Son of Adolph Holy & Margaret (Sirocka) Holy. Brother of Gordon Alton Holy & Laura Bell Holy. Husband of Pairlee "Tommie" (Thompson) Holy and, later, Mildred Margaret "Mickey" (Carlos) Holy. Father of Linda (Holy) Wiggins, Gilbert Holy, Melanie (Holy) Braselton, & Melissa (Holy) Powell.
Born and raised on the farm, Leroy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Cedar Bayou woods.
It was during these years that he grew to love raising crops and developed his lifelong love of raising cattle. Leroy also served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Galveston, Texas during World War II where he met "Tommie" Thompson who would become his wife.
Together they had a wonderful marriage which gave them four children before her demise from cancer. While living in Crosby he was member of the Crosby Methodist Church as well as serving as Election Judge for the Crosby precinct for over 20 years.
Leroy and his wife, Mickey, then enjoyed their retirement by moving to the Alto/Rusk area where he raised Limousine cattle and fished from his stocked ponds. Later, in their elder years, they lived in Livingston where they could watch the sunset on the lake.
Leroy always enjoyed the outdoors and always raised both familiar and exotic plants. Always ready to play a game of "42", he especially looked for his family to come and visit. Leroy was a caring husband, father and grandfather with family always at the center of his life.
