Donna Earlene Josephson Richins died peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2011 surrounded by her devoted, loving husband and family.

She was born June 10, 1930 in Twin Falls, Idaho, daughter of Olaf Earl and Amy Elizabeth (Henrie) Kempton.

She married Carl D. Josephson on September 15, 1948 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. After his death, she shared the rest of her life with I. Virgil Richins. They were married on October 12, 1973 in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved working with Primary children and had a special place in her heart for her Sunbeams.

Mom was a gifted poet who also loved working with her hands. Many babies were wrapped in her beautifully crochet blankets. She loved long rides among the trees and mountains and was proud to have grown up at the foot of the Tetons. Her favorite place to be was at Virg's side, anytime, anywhere.

She is survived by her husband Virgil and children: Karla (Don) Tucker, North Carolina; Sharon (Bruce) Hall, Plain City; Gary (Laura) Josephson, Lehi; Kevin Josephson, North Ogden; Deanna (Clyde) Young, South Jordan. Step-children, Cheryl (Mont) Richins, Fielding; Mark (Dee Dee) Richins, North Ogden; Brent (Heather) Richins, Colorado. Two sisters, Shirley (LaVar) Zohner, Idaho Falls, Naomia (Dean) Arnold, Sugar City, also thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Carl D. Josephson, parents, brother, Vaun, grandson, Gary Earl Josephson, and a granddaughter, Dina M. Tucker, preceded her in death.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the tender loving care shown to Mom by the staff at Greenwood Manor and Inspiration Hospice.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, and from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services in the Centerville Park Ward Chapel.
