Caledonia--Theodore M. Carmean, 59, died suddenly of a heart attack at 1:30 p.m. Monday at his home one and one-half miles south of Denmark. He had been ill since January.
Born November 10, 1887, in Crawford county, he was the son of Matthew L. Carmean, a native of Ohio and Hannah Drollsbaugh Carmean whose birthplace was Pennsylvania. His marriage to Miss Dessie Mason took place February 27, 1909 at Caledonia.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Reed of 412 Girard avenue, Marion, and Mrs. Mary Peterson at home, four sons, Matthew Carmean of 1128 Indiana avenue, Marion, Emerson of Columbus, Paul of Washington, D.C., and Wilton of Cardington. R3. Three sisters, Mrs. Maude Kerr of Cardington R3, Mrs. J. C. Mason of Gulion and Mrs. Clarence Cole of Bucyrus, and three grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Carmean was a farmer and was affiliated with the Methodist church and Canaan Grange of Denmark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Timson Allen funeral home here. Rev. Orland Rudy, pastor of the Methodist church at Denmark will officiate and burial will be made in the Caledonia cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.
