Gilbert Bredow, a long time Santee resident, passed away April 23 2006 in Phoenix Arizona. Gil was the Manager at Sweetwood & Sons Auto Repair in Santee for 20 years.

Gil's greatest love was his family, and he never met a stranger.
Gil served in the U.S. Army for nine years and received a Purple Heart during the Korean War.
His ashes will be laid to rest at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, Ca, on Monday May 8th at 3 p.m. A memorial was held in Michigan, where he was born, for family and friends. Published in U-T San Diego on May 7, 2006
