South Berwick, ME – Dorothy L. Brown, 99, formerly of South Berwick, ME and Somersworth, NH died Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Langdon Place of Dover.
Born in Rochester, NH April 28, 1911 the daughter of Virgil L. and Marion (Newcomb) Horr. She grew up in South Berwick and graduated from Berwick Academy and was a former resident of Somersworth.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making pottery, watching the Red Sox's, researching genealogy and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond C. Brown who died in 1984, her sons Raymond Brown who died in 2003 and Herbert Brown who died in 2005, brothers Cecil R. Horr of South Berwick, ME who died this past Saturday March 26, 2011, Everard, Arlo and Lawrence Horr, her sisters Mary Crawford, Carey Raitt and Kathleen Blaisdell.
She is survived by a sister Eleanor Mayrand of Sun City AZ, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and several great, nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 2nd at First Baptist Church, 130 Main St., South Berwick. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
