Arnold D. Buckalew, age 83, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born May 20, 1928 in Vealmoor, Texas to Edward Buckalew and Velma Moyers Buckalew.

Mr. Buckalew was employed by Celanese Corporation for 32 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Buckalew's favorite hobbies included fishing, gardening and RV'ing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years; one daughter; one son; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating.

Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 101 N. Upper Broadway, Second Floor, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
