Mr. Buckalew was employed by Celanese Corporation for 32 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Buckalew's favorite hobbies included fishing, gardening and RV'ing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years; one daughter; one son; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating.
