Adam was the son of Jesse Coble and Margaret E. Chandler. His first marriage was to Magnolia Burch. Adam and Magnolia were the parents of J.M., Maude, Robert, and Ora Coble.
After the death of Magnolia, Adam married Ada Edwards on October 4, 1903. Adam and Ada were the parents of Samuel Clint, Lucille, Paul, Bertie, Thelma, Buddy, Ellen, and Ray Edward "Pete" Coble.
Magnolia is buried in Chandler Cemetery, and Ada is buried in Leeper Cemetery in Lobelville, Tennessee.
Obituary from the September 10, 1926, Edition of The Perry Countian:
A. COBLE DIES AT LOBELVILLE TUESDAY
Add Coble, prominent merchant of Lobelville dies of heart trouble at his residence in Lobelville, Tuesday morning, about 2 a.m.
Mr. Coble was in usual good health, and attended the Circus Tuesday night and was feeling fine, but after the show he retired and about 2 o'clock in the morning Mrs. Coble who was sleeping in the same room heard a noise and called to her husband but he failed to respond and upon going to his bedside found he was unconscious and died in a few minutes after she herad him groaning.
Mr. Coble was twice married. [From his first marriage to Magnolia Burch] three children were born: Bob Coble now of Old Hickory, Tennessee; Mrs. Thacker Wright of Sulphur Springs and Mrs. A.B. Lynch. His second wife was Miss Ada Edwards of Roans Creek and to this union eight children were born: Clint, Lucille, Paul, Bertie, Thelma, Pete, Buddy, and Ellen. All living with their mother at Lobelville.
The remains were carried to the Chessor [sic] Cemetery near Beaverdam Springs for burial.
Mr. Coble was one of Lobelville's most successful businessmen, having been engaged in the mercantile business for a number of years. He was a native of Hickman County many years ago.
