Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers will be Butch Estes, Jr., Justin Abshire, Nathan Abshire, Craig Abshire, Billy Kimberlin, and Jerry Kimberlin.

She was born January 22, 1922 in Vernon, Texas to the late Betty Lee and passed away November 14, 2010 in Conroe, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her mother and her husband Horace Estes (1984).

To look at Mrs. Estes, you would not believe that she drove an 18 Wheeler with Horace, from Houston to California several times a month. Back then, there were very few women truck drivers. She was UNIQUE! She was also a very hard worker and was always willing to help anyone. She could be expected to join in her grandkids' games, running around the yard after dark, hiding from them and scaring them half to death. She loved to fish. If she saw anyone heading for the boat to go out on the lake she was the first one there. Hopping into the bed of the pick-up with the kids.

Marie was a super cook and everyone would spend a lot of holidays with their feet firmly planted under the table. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, everyone loved her cooking. She made many jars of jelly and jam. There was not much that she couldn't do, once she made up her mind.

We all know that she is at peace and with our Lord. Her body is whole and we also believe Horace was waiting for her. She will be carried in our hearts and we will all see her again, so we can all go fishing.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Pat Estes of Channelview, Texas, Ronnie and Shirley Estes of Cleveland, Texas, grandchildren, Wayne "Little Butch" Estes, Jr., Veronica Abshire, Kris Davis, Brian Estes, great granchildren, Caleb Estes, Nathan Abshire, Hailey Davis, Natalie Abshire, Patrick Estes, Gage Estes, Colin Estes, and a long time friend, Lawrence Anderson. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
