BARDSTOWN-BEAM, MARY ANN HAYDON, 84, died Thursday, January 1, 2009. She is survived by one son, Walter Thomas "Tommy" Beam Jr.; and one daughter, Donna Beam Snider, both of Bardstown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, C. H. Haydon, of Springfield, KY; one sister, Martha Fields, of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with Reverend Joseph Batcheldor officiating. Cremation will follow the ceremony with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday after 11 a.m. at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. Prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Joseph School, Bethlehem High School or St. Labre Indian School, P.O. Box 216, Ashland, MT, 59003.

MARY ANN HAYDON BEAM, 84, Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Washington County. She retired from Spalding and Sons after 50 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish where she was active in the Altar Society, the Eucharistic ministry and the bereavement committee. She volunteered as the Eucharistic minister at Colonial Health and Rehab Center for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Walter "Toddy" Beam; her parents, Harry and Florence Fields Haydon; a brother, Albert Haydon; and a sister, Florence McDonell. Survivors include a son, Walter Thomas "Tommy" Beam, Jr., Bardstown; a daughter, Donna Beam Snider, Bardstown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, C. H. Haydon, Springfield; and a sister, Martha Fields, Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. Cremation will follow the ceremony with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. The Rev. Joseph Batcheldor will officiate. Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
