Cecil Crowley, age 64, of Route 3, Oneida, Tenn., died August 29, 1995, at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lizzie Jeffers Crowley; one brother, Everett Crowley and one infant brother.

He worked at the Scott County Hospital for twenty nine years. He was active in the Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary Policy until he lost his eyesight fourteen years ago, he then became involved in the local Blind Support Group. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the V.F.W. Post Number 5669.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Crigger Crowley; one daughter, Shari Keeton and husband, Roger, all of Oneida; two sons: Tony Crowley and Chris Crowley, both of Oneida; two granddaughters, Amanda and Ashley Goad of Oneida; one step-son, Tommy Litton and wife, Lora, and their children: Casey and Jordan, all of Oneida; two sisters: Ruth Gordon and husband, Dewey, and Celia Baggett and husband, Guy, all of Mobile, Ala.; sister-in-law, Natomia Crowley of Huntsville, Tenn.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted August 31, 1995, at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eli Crowley and Rev. Guy Ainsworth officiating. The West Oneida United Baptist Church Choir sang. Interment was September 1, 1995, at the Crowley Cemetery. The American Legion Post #136 was in charge of full military honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Methodist Medical Center Homecare Services, 183 Lafayette Drive, Oak Ridge, Tenn. West-Murley Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of arrangements.
