Edward T. "Ed" McCain, Jr., 73, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 7, 2006 at his residence in Brandon. Visitation will be after 1 PM today at Lakewood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. McCain was an accountant, an enrolled agent, and business man. He owned Southern Management Services and Marcel's Restaurant. A veteran of the Army and a solid citizen, He will be remembered as a loving man who enjoyed being with people. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met. He never spoke a bad word about anyone. Mr. McCain was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Madison. He was also very active in the community belonging to the Pearl Lodge #23, the York Rite, and Wahabi Shrine. Most importantly, he was a family man. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He especially loved his grandchildren.
Mr. McCain is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bobbie; sons, William McCain of Pensacola, FL, Paul Crechale, and his wife Annie, of Raymond, and Bob Crechale, and his wife Gloria, of Brandon; sister, Sue Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Rachel Shuman, and her husband Jeremiah, Courtney Crechale, all of Jackson, Anderson Crechale, Anne Maree Crechale and Robert John Crechale, II, all of Brandon; and great granddaughter, Breanna Shuman.
