Mrs. L. Hauch Rib Lake, Dies; Buried Tuesday. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Rib Lake, for Mrs. Lena Hauch, 88-year-old Rib Lake pioneer; who died Sunday at the Golden Age Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since 1969. Rev. John Meyer officiated and burial took place in Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake. The body lay in state at Mannel Funeral Home, Rib Lake. The former Lena Leschetski was born December 19, 1881, at Passaic, N.J. Her marriage, to Herman Hauch, who preceded her in death in 1940, took place August 1896, at Passaic. The couple along with two sons moved to the Rib Lake area in 1900 and farmed in the town of Greenwood. Mrs. Hauch and her husband were one of the first pioneer families in the Rib Lake area. In 1940 Mrs. Hauch moved with her son Edward to Mud Lake and two years later made her home in Minneapolis with a daughter, Mrs. Sam Bratman, until she entered the Golden Age Nursing Home. Mrs. Hauch was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and a member of its Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are three sons, Henry and Emil Hauch of Minneapolis and Edward Hauch of Rib Lake; four daughters, Mary, Mrs. Sam Bratman of Minneapolis, Theresa, Mrs. George Henning Sr. of Rock Island, Ill., and Anna, Mrs. Frank Schreiner and Ella, Mrs. Ray Radtke of Rib Lake, 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
