Services for Diane Kittrell, 36, were Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Southside Baptist Church, Bowie, Texas, with Rev. Billy Dugger, pastor of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Bowie, officiating.

Born June 16, 1957, in Ardmore, Miss Kittrell died March 2, 1994, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She had made her home in Bowie for 12 years before moving to Marietta eight years ago. A 1976 graduate of Bowie High School, Miss Kittrell taught at Marietta for two years and was a social worker at Big 5 for three years. She was employed as a school teacher at the Head Start Program at Big 5 in Marietta. Miss Kittrell was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her parents, James and Rebecca Kittrell of Montague, Texas; a daughter, Jamie Elizabeth Anderson of Marietta; three sisters, Mrs. Elaine Haley Tate of Bowie, Mrs. Janet Sappenfield of Harrison, Arkansas, and Mrs. Teresa Guerieri of Henrietta, Texas; a brother, Johan Ray Kittrell of Montague, Texas; her grandparents, Hardie Williams of Marietta and Mrs. Leatha Mae Kittrell of Gainesville, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, under the direction of Burgess-Fry Funeral Home, Bowie. Pallbearers were Joe Guerieri, Phil Fandel, Danny Tate, Joe Don Robinson, Archie Sappenfield and Clarence Kittrell.
