Richard L. Weidenbruch, aka Rich King, Radio Personality. Born Richard L. Weidenbruch, 68, of Naples, FL. died Saturday, June 21, 2003.
Formerly of Cincinnati, OH and Fon du Lac, WI; he had been a Naples resident since 1990. Rich began his 50-year career in radio broadcasting and talk show hosting at the age of 15. Over the years, his voice was heard in Fon du Lac, Cincinnati, San Diego, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Naples.
Rich is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Joan; his children, Holly Weidenbruch of Brooklyn, NY, and Heather (Dewey) Rivers, Daniel (Jennifer) Weidenbruch and Brian Weidenbruch, all of Naples; and his brother, Peter (Barbara) Weidenbruch of Rockville, MD. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky, age 4, in 1978.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 27, 2003. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N. Naples. Immediately following, there will be a reception for family, friends and fans in the church hall.
