... Veteran railroad man succumbed to paralysis last evening after three years of suffering... honored citizen of Peoria for over half a century, passed away Sat. eve at his home, 1007 N. Monroe, in his fifty-seventh year.
He was born in Cincinnati Ohio and still a child of tender years when his parents moved to Peoria.
Railroading all his active life, with the old J.S.E.R.R. as conductor, then with C.P.& St. L.R.R. when that company came into control... later years as foreman for the C.R.I. & P.R.R.
Member Masonic franternity belonging to Peoria lodge; also of the Order of Rainroad Conductors and the Switchmen's union.
Survived by wife and one daughter, Miss Georgia
